Allo Deposito revamp

I spearheaded the design process of 2-month project to revamp one of Allo Bank's funding product, Allo Deposito. The goal was to increase asset under management with improved usability. To achieve this, we chose to revamp the product by doing an ideal end-to-end design process.

The challenge

Allo Deposito was one of the first feature that Allo Bank released back when we launch in 2022. Since then, Allo Deposito has been the main funding product that contribute to Allo Bank assets under management with a total of more than Rp400+ Mio. Albeit the success, Allo Deposito has received several usability concerns from our users.

Defining the problem

To better understand the problem faced by our users, we conduct 2 type of research: competitive analysis and user research by using surveys and user interview. For user research, Research team helped conduct the user interview and handing out surveys.

Competitive analysis

Here are four digital banks that I choose for this analysis. The main reasons why I picked these banks were mainly because they're the most frequently used digital bank in Indonesia lately.

User research

User research were conducted in two methods, surveys and user interview. Surveys were given to 347 shortlisted respondent while user interview were done to 7 respondents. Here are some of the insights from research team.

Opportunities

From gathered competitive analysis and user research, I synthesize all the findings and offer solutions of pain points using Opportunity Solution Tree framework. The main concern to solve is to convince our user by understanding our product. To achieve this, we implement several solutions like:

Creating interest calculator.

Tooltip for terms definition.

This new page helps user understand the benefit and answer some of frequently asked question. This page also has an entry point for interest calculator as a simulation of estimated profit gain from investing with Allo Deposito.

Calculator

Quick, easy-to-use, and simple solution for users who try to calculate how much will they earn. This feature also replace the interest table that users have given feedback about it's confusing information.

Input amount

When opening a deposit, I break the previous flow into two screens, input amount and confirmation. The reason for this solution is to focus on a single task of each screen rather than mixing every tasks into a single screen. This screen also intuitively programed with our promotion and interest calculator system. For example if a user comes from a promotion and agreed to use promo, this screen will automatically select the tenure that eligible for that promo.

Confirmation

This page helps users to review their soon-to-be deposit. To make the process seamless and still aligns with business vision, we prefilled the renewal field and make the deposit name to be optional.
